We are in constant contact with the relevant authorities as well as with local NGOs and companies contributing to this endeavour. With them, we are finalising a quality control protocol for the creation of floating barrages.
Today, we also continued our stockpiling drive, collecting more than 750 empty 20 L canisters that can be used in floating barrages, as well as ropes and nylon wires. Moreover, 1.3 km of floating barriers have now been installed between L’Île au Mozambique and L’Île au Lièvre, ensuring the protection of L’Île aux Cerfs.
For the coming days, 3 production sites for the floating barrages have also been identified for the island: Anahita, Bagatelle and Beau Plan. The floating barrages will then be deployed where and when needed.
